It has been a memorable six months for the female team members at Northampton-based Silverstone Leasing, who are marking International Women’s Day by celebrating the strong culture of support and friendship they have built together.
The Preston Deanery-based vehicle leasing broker is known for its close-knit team environment, but the bond between its five female colleagues stands out. Embrace Leasing Consultant Aby Mason, Customer Care Manager Michelle Williamson, Customer Care Executive Mandy Colby, Customer Care Team Leader Amber Thorpe and Accountant Sophie Norville have formed a supportive “sisterhood” that plays an important role in the company’s positive workplace culture.
The past half-year has been filled with achievements worth celebrating.
In November, the team proudly supported Sophie Norville as she took part in Strictly Northampton, impressing judges with her performance and finishing the competition as runner-up. Her colleagues were there every step of the way, cheering her on and celebrating her success.
That same month, the team gathered again to support Customer Care Manager Michelle Williamson at the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards 2025, where she was named a finalist in the prestigious Employee of the Year category.
More recently, the team celebrated Amber Thorpe’s promotion to Customer Care Team Leader, recognising her dedication and leadership within the business.
When Mandy Colby joined Silverstone Leasing last year, the welcoming culture was immediately evident. Michelle played a key role in supporting the recruitment process and helping Mandy settle smoothly into the team.
Meanwhile, Aby Mason – the longest-serving member of the group – recently celebrated an incredible 13 years with the business, marking a significant milestone in Silverstone Leasing’s journey.
Silverstone Leasing Managing Director Scott Norville said the team’s culture of encouragement and mutual support reflects the wider values of the business.
“Our team culture is something I am immensely proud of at Silverstone Leasing,” he said.
“The relationships that have developed between our female team members are fantastic to see. They work closely together every day and have built a genuine bond that supports both the business and each other.”
“The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is Give To Gain, which highlights the power of support and reciprocity. Our team is a great example of that. The more you invest in supporting your colleagues, the more everyone benefits.”
“At Silverstone Leasing we believe in celebrating each other’s successes. When one person achieves something, the whole team celebrates with them. That’s how we continue to grow together.”
