The Old Hay Barn

The Old Hay Barn in its original state below circa 1967 in Preston Deanery is now home to Silverstone Leasing.

Preston Deanery is a small village in Northamptonshire, England, located about 5 miles south of the town of Northampton. The village has a population of around 400 people and is known for its historic church, which dates back to the 13th century. There are also several listed buildings in the village, including the Manor House and the Old Rectory. The surrounding countryside is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists, with many footpaths and bridleways criss-crossing the fields and woods.

Silverstone moved in 2017 to their new purpose-built barn conversion, overlooking some of Northamptonshire’s idyllic countryside’s. The transformation has been outstanding. Silverstone have kept the Old Hay Barn name in memory to its former self.

The restoration was a mammoth task and took 12 months build with two years planning in the making. Every stage was documented by one of the best builders in Northampton.

A lot of blood sweat and tears went into the build to be what it is today. From humble beginnings originally based at Brackmills Industrial Estate, Scott Norville, Managing Director of Silverstone Leasing started Silverstone back in 2012 working out of a small office, rented from his sister, Stacy's company, Filtration Control Limited on the arrangement of looking after their fleet of cars and vans, which they did for years to come.

As the years progressed, Silverstone’s team naturally grew and needed a firm base with room for growth, not only for the team but also for the business. The Old Hay Barn was now their home.

4th October 2017 was a very special day. The Old Hay Barn was officially opened by H.M Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, Mr David Laing, accompanied by the Leader of Northamptonshire’s County Council, Councillor Mr Matthew Golby.
